The EarthWorks were challenged to create the most sophisticated, connected, contextual and clinically impactful application available for asthma patients worldwide. The application needed to form the core of the respiratory strategy and build clinical, technological and academic partnerships whilst also improving asthma control, quality of life and clinical outcomes for patients, irrespective of medication.
Through extensive patient research and a partnership with a leading asthma centre at Nottingham University, The EarthWorks, together with GSK, built a beautiful application that exceeded expectations. MyAsthma predicts the course of the user’s asthma, helping to improve management and control. It is the first disease focused application to support the user in context.
MyAsthma was unveiled at ERS 2016 and has been available on the App Store since September 2016.
